Remote Administration Display
The Remote Administration Display Unit or "RAD" is designed to enable remote reading of the various
operating parameters critical to overall system performance for
all networked power supplies from one convenient location. A
fluorescent vacuum display is provided for monitoring shaft-hull
potentials, reference cell potentials (in millivolts), individual
anode amperes, and anode volts for each switch-mode power supply.
The RAD simplifies the monitoring of the networked systems
and multi-zone conditions. The unit is bulkhead mounted and is
usually located in the engine control room to allow the operator easy
access in recording daily log sheet readings.
At any time should a computer-controlled switch-mode power supply
automatically shut-down the output, the RAD will identify the
problem unit and instruct the other units to adjust operations
accordingly.
